Daniel Robertson
Hitting Coach
Daniel is a Hitting Coach at Chapman Baseball Compound, primarily working with our youth athletes, working on their development starting at 9U. Daniel is a former Major League Baseball player with over 11 years of professional experience, including five seasons at the MLB level with the Rays, Giants and Brewers.
Daniel’s baseball education came from inside professional clubhouses, working alongside some of the best hitters, coaches, and minds in the game.
He specializes in developing complete hitters through swing efficiency, pitch recognition, and elite strike zone discipline. Every athlete is different, and he prides himself on identifying what makes each player unique and turning it into something powerful and repeatable.
Daniel’s coaching philosophy is rooted in clarity, accountability, and intentional development along with instilling good character and mindset into each player. He teaches players how to think about the game, not just play it. The goal is to build athletes who are confident, disciplined, and capable of adjusting under pressure because that’s what the game ultimately demands.
He is passionate about passing down what he has learned, because he knows how rare it is to receive this level of insight early in a player’s journey. What drives him is helping players unlock a level of performance they didn’t realize they were capable of, and giving them the tools to compete with purpose, confidence, and a true understanding of the game.
