Johnny Pappas

Johnny Pappas (Pap) is a catching and hitting coach here at CBC. He played collegiate baseball at Cal Poly Pomona where he set the school record for career runs scored and earned multiple CCAA and West Region First Team selections. After graduating with his Biology degree, he played independent baseball for the Idaho Falls Chukars in the Pioneer Baseball League, where he played for manager and World Series champion Troy Percival. As a player, he trained at CBC from 2022 until he retired in 2025.

Pap has been doing private training and coaching since 2022 and briefly coached on the staff of Cal Poly Pomona for the 2025-2026 season before he joined the staff for CBC. He takes the knowledge and experience he gained from his playing career and incorporates it into his training in both hitting and catching. Pap takes a very high-energy approach to training, challenging athletes to compete at the highest possible level every day. He takes pride in understanding each athlete as an individual and finding ways to make them the best possible version of themselves as both an athlete, and as a person.
