Andrew Martin

Lead Hitting Coach

Andrew Martin is the Lead Hitting Coach at Chapman Baseball Compound, where he has spent nearly a decade developing athletes and refining his coaching approach. Over that time, he has built a strong reputation for his attention to detail, consistency, and commitment to each athlete’s long-term development.

While coaching, Andrew earned his B.S. in Kinesiology from California State University, Fullerton, and recently completed his Masters of Science in Exercise Science at California State University, Long Beach. His academic background has significantly shaped his coaching philosophy, allowing him to translate complex research into practical, on-field application. His graduate research, An Integrated Model of Biomechanics, Physiology, and Strength and Conditioning in Elite Baseball Hitting Performance, reflects his commitment to understanding performance through a comprehensive, evidence-based approach.

Andrew utilizes a data-driven, biomechanics-based approach to player development, integrating objective analysis, peer-reviewed research, and individualized programming to support hitters at every level. He has worked with athletes ranging from youth to professional baseball and has also led the youth development department at CBC.

In addition, Andrew has completed internships in physical therapy settings, providing valuable insight into movement quality, recovery, and injury prevention. He collaborates closely with CBC’s strength training staff to ensure athletes develop both performance and durability.

Andrew’s goal is to bridge the gap between research and on-field performance, helping athletes become well-rounded players who can perform at a high level while maintaining long-term health.
